Yet hope runs rampant in the hearts of most Diablo fans.

This is my view as well; Diablo2's pixel graphics looked just amazing. Making it 3d would make it almost clumsy to handle.

DON PEYOTE>>>>

WoW may have average graphics, but the gameplay makes up for it according to the players.

My thing about current RPGs like Guild Wars is that they almost seem turn-based. Movement just isn't as quick or as hard to predict as Diablo, where PvPers thrived on teleport skills and boosts in speed.

Ok the pic's a little small after I hosted it, but I thought you guys might find it interesting.

To me it looks a little fake-ish, but who knows?

LOL, MCS...you're on a roll today!

Great comment in the latter quote though and very true. I played the demo of WoW and...well, let's just say that I wasn't impressed. Applying graphics like that to Diablo would just cause a great wailing and gnashing of teeth to erupt from my home.

a few things made me not get wow
1) Montly fees
2) High lvls killing low lvls all the time
3) Graphics make my eyes bleed
4) Elf sex....

I do not care what game it is, a montly fee = no me (even if its diablo)

Im going to be playing D2 even more now because i just got my friend to buy it and now i must guide him away from all the 1.11 runeword fools.. im going to teach him the ways of 1.08

You linked to a thumbnail version of an image released and debunked a good while ago.

Notice the small text at the bottom. This is a mock game cover designed with Photoshop. Looks like the artist took elements of World Of Warcraft, too. Eww.

What's wrong with age of empires 2? I swear, be it my disgusting brand-less video card, or my survivalist tendancies, I think that those older, pixellated games have a better overall look than the new 3d games.

I agree, they should spend some more time on great classics like starcraft and diablo... not WoW

Yeah, too bad all that other shit owns Starcraft Online. I am willing to bet $100 on that if Starcraft 2 was released, it wouldn't be anywhere near the popularity of Starcraft 1. End of transmission.

Yes, but most people don't have an eclectic supply of marbles, either.

The proper way to explain my views eludes me, so I'll just keep my other-appointed eccentric mouth shut.

I never realy got into Warcraft, and WC3 just stank IMO.

If you wan the originator in the RTS/RPG genre, go play the Warlord Battlecry games.

Starcraft MMORPG would be either a huge success or a huge failure depending on how they run things. If they make it like PlanetSide but actually as amazing as PlanetSide claimed to be, I would definitely be up for it.

But... what about Starcraft: Ghost?
